Core Services
Individual Therapy for Adults
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults who are experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck. Therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect and explore experiences that may be difficult to understand or articulate on your own.
Throughout our work together, individual therapy may help you:
-
Understand recurring emotional and relational patterns
-
Reduce anxiety, depression, and feelings of distress
-
Develop greater self-awareness and compassion
-
Feel more agency and flexibility within your own life
-
Build more meaningful and close relationships
Individual sessions typically last 50 minutes. Sessions are traditionally held weekly, however, changes can be tailored based on your needs and goals. Individual therapy is offered in-person, as well as virtually, depending on your location and preference.
Couples Therapy
I also provide couples therapy for partners who want to better understand the patterns shaping their relationship and to create more meaningful, secure, and connected ways of relating. Couples often seek therapy when communication has become difficult, trust has been broken, or the same conflicts keep resurfacing, despite best efforts to resolve them.
Couples therapy may help you:
-
Improve communication
-
Identify recurring interactions and patterns of relating
-
Improve and deepen an understanding of how each partner's emotional history influences the relationship
-
Increase empathy, safety, and feelings of closeness within the relationship
Couples therapy is appropriate for couples at many stages within the relationship. Session frequency and length can be discussed based on your needs.
I provide psychotherapeutic services for adults and couples seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships and the emotional patterns that shape their lives. My approach is mostly grounded within psychodynamic theory, which is an approach that focuses on how early experiences, attachment patterns, and unconscious processes influence our present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
